Quarantine and isolation are not ideal for most of us. This time is pretty stressful. To help get through this uncertainty and thrive in quarantine, it’s important to take care of your mental and physical health as much as possible. We’ll look at a few ways you can use this time to your advantage, to pamper yourself, and to crown yourself the ultimate QuaranQueen.

🌞 Create A Calm, Serene Space

Because our space is limited, it’s really important to make sure we are as happy as possible with the space we’re stuck in. Clutter has a negative impact on both physical and mental health. Pick one room or space where you spend the most time – say, your room. 

Declutter. Throw away the excess – trust us, you’ll feel better once you let go. Change your sheets. Fill your space with plants and flowers, music, things you cherish, pictures you love, possessions that make you happy, candles and incense and scents that calm you. Make sure your favorite things are in places where you regularly see them. Create your own safe haven – your personal sanctuary.

🧘‍♀️ Practice Some Mindful Meditation

Mindful meditation is a skill that helps you focus on being present in the moment, right now. It’s all about awareness – being aware of where you’re holding tension in your body, how your feet feel on the ground, if your jaw is clenched. You’ll be surprised how centered you feel once you get in tune with your body and slow down your mind. 

Some of our favorite apps (such as Calm and Headspace) can guide you through your journey to mindfulness.Try doing a body scan – it’s crazy how rejuvenated you can feel after focusing on your breath and scanning every inch of your body with your mind.

💅 Do Your Nails

Something as simple as painting your nails can really help take your mind off of everything else. Does anyone else just feel more put-together when they have a fresh mani? You can get creative with it if you’re bored of your regular colors! Paint every nail a different color, or try your hand at nail art! By the time we finally make our debut back into the world, you’ll be able to show off professional-grade nails.

💆‍♀️ Face Mask Time

Face masks are a wonderful way to wind down while taking care of your skin. If you happen to have run out of store-bought face masks and don’t want to make a trek to buy more, you are in luck. There are plenty of great face mask recipes that you can try out at home from ingredients you probably already have in your pantry! Try some of them out – your skin will thank you! Or you can order some online and try out some masks you’ve never done before! Here’s our favorite one! Hot tip to make your masking even more rejuvenating: do some light stretching while you’re waiting for it to settle into your skin! Another hot tip: do a face mask while you’re waiting for your hair treatment to set in.

🛁 The Perfect Bath

Another way to treat both body and mind to some relaxation and comfort is a candlelit bath. The beauty of a candlelit bath is that you can completely make it your own – a custom spa experience. You can tailor it to your tastes. Some ideas to get you rolling: bath salts, bath bombs, bubble bath, music, wine, aromatherapy. Throw on some under-eye patches! All things to ease your body and ease your mind. Put some comfy slippers on after you hop out!

💃 Give Yourself A Few Orgasms A Day!

While this advice may seem out of the blue, it is backed with logic. Having more frequent orgasms can have numerous benefits. The exertion burns calories – the orgasm itself releases endorphins, which are mood-boosting. It’s also a natural form of stress relief. Letting yourself indulge in some “me time” during quarantine may end up being a win-win situation. 😉

🎨 Get Creative:

Creativity is a balm for the soul and the mind. Having ample free time is the perfect opportunity to flex those muscles of creation. It doesn’t matter whether you draw, paint, sing, dance, sculpt, write, or even make videos for social media. Whatever outlet or outlets you want to pursue can be great for you. Creativity has been found to have numerous benefits. It can improve focus, increase happiness, and reduce stress.
